A KENYAN SAFARI EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED
This 7 night 8 day safari starts with a night under canvas at the unique Nairobi Tented Camp in Nairobi National Park before continuing to the Amboseli region and the world-renowned Maasai Mara. Timed for the Great Migration there is a good chance of seeing Kenya’s Big Five safari animals plus much more.
A short drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will take you to the Nairobi Tented Camp in the Nairobi National Park. There the camp almost guarantees you the sight of rhino along with lion, giraffe, leopard, buffalo and more, during morning and evening game drives.
In Amboseli and Mara, the conservancies are owned by the local Maasai communities and the camps are operated and managed with the objective of creating income and providing benefits for the local people so that they can gain from participating in tourism.
Think of Africa at its wildest, you’ll probably picture open savannah plains, riverine forest, springs, streams and rivers, rolling hills and spectacular views, all of it lorded over by the King of the Jungle, the mighty lion. Both the Amboseli and Bush Camp fit this picture, unfenced and completely wild. The Amboseli is the best place in Kenya to see elephants at close range and wonderful views of Kilimanjaro.
The camp’s neighbours are visiting warthogs, grazing zebras and topis, and carefree giraffes in the shade of yellow-barked Acacia trees on the bank of a permanent spring. And while the Mara area is renowned for its resident pride of 30 lions, a wide variety of the regal beast’s “subjects” also populate the area, including 8 leopards.
