What better way to experience a country than by jumping in the car with four of your best friends and heading off on your own adventure? With this tour, you get all the character and freedom of a private road trip with the added benefit of an expert tour guide and driver who knows all the best stops in Cape Town and along the famous Garden Route. It’s the perfect chance to see the highlights of this part of South Africa while getting the chance to tick off some bucket list activities along the way.
The road trip adventure starts and ends in Cape Town – the Mother City. Here you’ll ride to the top of iconic Table Mountain, explore the Cape Point National Park and swim in the ocean alongside a colony of penguins at Boulders Beach. Do a sunrise hike up Lion’s Head – a favourite activity for the locals, or experience the flavours and cultures of the Bo-Kaap on foot or during a Malay cooking tour. Head into the Cape Winelands to taste the Western Cape’s world-class wines at wine farms with sprawling lawns for laid-back picnics.
Leaving the city and its surrounds behind for a couple of days you’ll head up the Garden Route to stop at small towns and get the real road trip feel. Laze on quiet beaches, hike along the coast and stroll through incredible indigenous forests, and adventure in subterranean caves. Tick the towns of Knysna, Wilderness, Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay off your list and perhaps take the leap and go skydiving! With many optional activities, this trip can be as adventurist of relaxing as you want.
